Merry Christmas Eve! Tonight I shot the candlelight service at Graystone Presbyterian Church in Indiana. The church was packed and when they turned the lights out it looked so amazing! Hope everyone has a great Christmas and a Happy New Year.
Last week I took some photos of my cousin Amy's family for their Christmas card. So while we were at it we took some updated photos of the kids. Here are a few.
This kinda blows my mind... having a Christmas Parade the second week in November. I was driving down Philadelphia Street last night and was thinking...dang...all the Christmas lights are on already. It feels way to early. The It's A Wonderful Life Parade was tonight in Downtown. I maintain I should NOT be allowed to shoot parades...I go 5 steps and someone who knows me is stopping me wanting to talk...I miss the whole parade! ha ha. I love it though. Here are a few shots from the night.
Happy Halloween! I was supposed to have today off however, I got asked to shoot the IUP game. So I figured why not. Then today when I woke up it was raining, cold and miserable. HAHA. So if I die from the flu following this post you all know why. I'm kinda bummed this is the last game I'll shoot this season, perhaps next season I'll be back up at State shooting, but until that time comes...it's almost basketball season. Final: IUP lost to Gannon 29-3.
IUP played their Homecoming game on Saturday. Sorry for the late update. I'm not really sure want I want to say except I thought that IUP was going to pull this one off. They scored two touchdowns in two minutes in the 4th quarter and came within one touchdown of Edinboro.
Hello from Kill Devil Hills in North Carolina. I left for vacation Sunday morning. Before we left my sister had asked if while we were down here I could shoot some engagement photos of her and her fiancee. I said that I would. Having never shot anything remotely special at the beach we took two nights to shoot a little over a hundred photos. We came away with about 40 shots she is going to use for various things leading up to the wedding. So, I'm just letting you all know this is my sister...not a client. So that was my disclaimer. Here are Traci and AJ.
Yesterday, I attended one of the most wet weddings ever, in my life. I think this was the first total washout of a wedding I have ever shot. By the attitude of the bride and groom you would never guess the weather anything but sunny. I had such a great time shooting their day and wish them nothing but happiness in their marriage. The saying is if it rains on your wedding day...it's good luck. So perhaps you two should play the lotto! :) Everyone can tell they are so much in love and are perfect for each other. Presenting Mr and Mrs Zook.
On September 5th, I had the pleasure to shoot the wedding of Mark and Timberly Love. How cute is that, their last name is Love. The wedding was so colorful and I thought it was done so perfectly. I love everything colorful so I did my best to shoot it well. Here are a few photos from Mark and Timberly's wedding.
The last college football game I shot was the Rose Bowl, the last teams season I shot was Penn State, this was nothing like that. With that being said, this was the first IUP game I've shot in three years. However, I think I worked it out and came up with some decent shots. Actually, I'm looking forward to my next game to shoot in a few weeks. IUP won against Millersville 17-3. Millersville looked ultra lousy. I had to laugh because at this game, I was asked if my stuff was going to be on KDKA...no sorry...and I was asked to put someones picture in the Penn. IUP's student newspaper. HAHA. Either I look that amateur, or I Just have a babyface. At anyrate, Let's Go Hawks.
I am currently working as a photojournalist at the The Indiana Gazette where I have been on the staff since December of 2002. I did, however, leave to work at the Altoona Mirror for a year. I worked for a season shooting for the Altoona Curve. I save lives on Tuesdays at Citizens Ambulance in Indiana as an EMT.
